Coopers & Lybrand
Early careerAudit & Advisory
Mark began his career in public accounting at Coopers & Lybrand — one of the international firms that would later merge to form PricewaterhouseCoopers — where he trained across audit and advisory engagements and earned his professional designation. That early grounding in rigorous, standards-based practice continues to shape how he approaches every file.
Vancouver Stock Exchange
Securities regulationCompliance Examiner
For four years, Mark served as an examiner at the Vancouver Stock Exchange, responsible for reviewing the financial and sales-compliance practices of Vancouver-based brokerage firms — early, hands-on exposure to securities regulation and the compliance obligations of market participants.
Golden Capital Securities Ltd.
Capital marketsChief Financial Officer
He went on to serve as Chief Financial Officer of Golden Capital Securities Ltd., a Vancouver investment dealer, where he led financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls in a regulated capital-markets environment. Running finance for a securities firm gave Mark a first-hand command of securities regulation and the continuous-disclosure obligations of public issuers — expertise he still draws on in both his advisory practice and his work as an expert witness.
